Our business is Family run and strives to deliver simple, honest candles, made with high quality, local materials at an affordable cost. That is our mission.
Cambridge Candles started on one of the last days of summer when, after buying an old candle making cabinet at a garage sale (for 10 dollars) in the hopes of using it for a tool cabinet, we decided to first try to make a batch of candles in the barn behind our house. The rest is history. After learning about candle making and perfecting our style, we decided to hit the community, joining farmers markets and selling at schools where we both also teach. Thankfully we weren't alone, people loved our products and began to purchase them and make suggestions so we could expand our product line.
Now we are reaching out through the web to offer our candles across the country. Not only can you now purchase our candles anytime, but when you do, you know that you are supporting a local, family run business and community! Even if you are not local to us, your purchase supports local systems of supply and helps avoid patronizing multinational corporations that use petroleum byproducts to make their candles. In addition to the many ideological reasons for buying our candles, when you burn our candles and create memories, whether its during a camping trip, family meal, while reading a book, or simply finding your way into the next room when the electricity goes out, you know that there was someone on this end that cares about providing an honest product for you.

Shipping wax can be expensive, but we will do our best to keep your shipping costs down. Below is a list of what we currently charge for shipping (the more you buy, the cheaper we can ship it!)

Pinecone Candle
Bayberry Taper Set (12 inch)
These tapers are handmade with pure Bayberry wax. Made from the bayberry bush, it takes 15 pounds of berries to make one pound of wax. These Candles are traditional around the holidays and are usually given as gifts or used for special meals. they have a beautiful earthy green color. "A Bayberry Candle burnt to the socket brings food to the larder and gold to the pocket."
